OldGround keeps your maps, sites, finds and tracks on your phone. Only what you choose to share in the community leaves it.
Your old maps, anchors, sites, pins, finds, photos, visits and recorded paths are stored on your device and are not sent to us. Your location is used on the device to show where you are and record your path; we don't collect it. If you export a GPX file, it goes wherever you send it.
To post, upvote or comment you sign in with your email address. We keep:
Photos are stripped of hidden location data before they're uploaded. Posts, usernames and comments are public and appear on this website.
Community data is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage) in the United States, and this website is served by Cloudflare. Sign-in codes are sent by email through our email provider. We don't sell your information.
The app loads map tiles and data from map providers (such as OpenStreetMap-based maps, USGS and Esri) and place search from Photon. Those requests include the area being viewed, as any map app's do.
In the app, go to Settings › Delete my community account. That removes your account, posts, photos and comments. You can also ask us at support@oldgroundapp.com. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
The community is not for children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Questions: support@oldgroundapp.com.
