How much does it cost?

$4.99 a month, billed by Apple or Google. Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Your old maps, sites, pins, finds and paths are on your phone. Save satellite, topo and LiDAR for an area before you go with Layers › Save this area for offline. The Community and place search need a connection.

Where is my data?

On your phone. Deleting the app deletes it, so export a GPX file now and then as a backup. Only posts you share in the Community are stored online.

Is it legal to detect there?

OldGround shows public land and who manages it, but rules change and maps can be out of date. Always get permission and check the land manager’s rules before you dig.

How do I get help?

Email support@oldgroundapp.com with your app version (bottom of Settings). We usually reply within a day.
