Pins and finds
Mark finds, old houses, LiDAR features and permissions exactly where they are. Finds keep photos, depth, signal and detector, and the app can walk you back to any pin.
Adding a pin
Tap + Add pin on the Map tab, then either:
- Tap the spot on the map where it is, or
- tap My spot to drop it where you’re standing (your phone’s GPS position).
You can also press and hold anywhere on the map. It works on the old map too.
Kinds of pin
- Find: something you dug.
- Old house: a house or building site to hunt.
- LiDAR feature: something you spotted in the LiDAR to check out.
- Permission: a place you have, or want, permission to hunt.
- Other: anything else.
Find details
A find can hold up to 4 photos, a type (coin, relic, button, jewelry, token), the metal, depth, the target ID number (VDI), the detector and its settings, a star rating and notes. Your detector is remembered for the next find, so you only type it once.
Tip Photograph the find before cleaning it, next to the hole, then again cleaned. The first photo shows on the map.
Finding your way back
Tap any pin to open its card, then Guide me. A line runs from you to the pin, with the distance and direction at the bottom of the map. Tap Stop when you’re there.
From the card you can also Edit a pin, Share it, or Post a find to the Community.
